“If not now, when?” “Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.”
Unable to shake the nagging desire to travel and live life to the fullest, Angela Petitt took a step of faith to take a sabbatical to travel. In spite of being in the throes of the recession, she decided that taking a chance on her dreams to see the world and learn new activities was a worthwhile endeavor.
When she made the decision, Ms. Petitt really had no clue what was next. But, a few days after her last day at work, she was on a plane to Italy! From that point on, she found herself on a different adventure every month!
Angela’s sabbatical has enabled her to enjoy new experiences such as playing golf, horseback riding, flying a small airplane, climbing the Great Wall in China, narrowly escaping the earthquake in Japan, zip lining in Cabo, cave diving in Punta Cana, and freezing in bone-chilling temperatures in Siberia.
While on sabbatical, she has also traveled to over 30 countries including Egypt, Israel, Greece, Colombia, Nicaragua, Germany, Turkey, Panama, and many other amazing destinations. She has cruised, toured, explored, did luxury getaways, and more. In addition, she was honored with a Service and Leadership award by her alma mater. Moreover, the adventure continues as she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership…and the travel definitely continues.
When not traveling, Angela makes her home in Houston, Texas. Follow Ms. Petitt’s adventures on her blog http://www.sabbaticalscapes.com/. Where will your dreams take you?

Angela,
I just read your updates on the blog and I am amazed at all the traveling you have done in such a short period of time. But, I am even more amazed at your leap of faith that took you to resign your job and pursue your dreams. I am so glad to know you and to have you as my neighbor next door. You are truly an inspiration too. I know God will continue guiding you and directing your life. LOL

Angela,
I can’t tell you good it is to see you! Most of my fondest memories of my younger years have you in them, and I will carry them always.
I am so inspired by your leap of faith, and I pray that the Lord continues to grant favor on your life and your dreams.
You are beaming with a peace and happiness and I hope you never lose that ‘glow of glory’.
God bless and please continue to share your journey with the world.
